Tire Services - Replacement, Rotation & Balancing
Your Tires Are Your Only Contact with the Road
Every mile you drive, your tires are doing the work of keeping your vehicle stable, responsive, and safe. Worn or improperly maintained tires affect braking distance, handling, fuel economy, and ride quality. At Double Decker Auto Repair we provide complete tire services for most makes and models, from routine rotations and flat repairs to full tire replacements and TPMS service.

We recommend having your tires inspected at every oil change and rotated approximately every 5,000–7,500 miles to promote even wear. Replace tires when tread depth reaches 4/32" and definitely before 2/32", which is the legal minimum. Our technicians check tread depth, tire pressure, and condition on every visit.

Tire Care in Wisconsin - What You Need to Know
Wisconsin winters demand proper tires. All-season tires are adequate for most drivers, but if you drive in heavy snow or ice regularly, dedicated winter tires provide a significant safety advantage. Summer tires lose traction in temperatures below about 45°F. Ask our team about the right tire option for how and where you drive.
When to Replace Your Tires
-
Tread depth is at or below 4/32" (time to plan) or 2/32" (replace immediately)
-
Visible cords, bulges, or sidewall damage
-
Tires are cracked, dry-rotted, or more than 6 years old
-
Persistent vibration that balancing doesn't resolve
-
Uneven wear patterns across the tire face
